How to usethe trainer
Four steps that produce measurable gains in the first week
Measure your baseline
Run the trainer at 250 words per minute. If you follow the text without strain, that is your current comfortable pace.
Set the pace 50 wpm higher
Training should feel slightly uncomfortable. At the edge of your ability the eye learns to capture words faster.
Never look back
Regressive eye movements eat up to a third of reading time. Serial word presentation makes going back physically impossible.
Add 25 wpm every day
10–15 minutes a day for 4–6 weeks. Comprehension dips first, then catches up with the speed.

Frequently askedquestions
Is this speed reading trainer free?
Yes. The trainer on this page is free and needs no sign-up — just open the page and press Start. Registration is only required for the full set of 14 trainers and for saving your statistics.
What speed should I start at?
Start at 250–300 words per minute. If the text reads easily, add 50 wpm. The right pace is the one where you follow the meaning with slight effort.
How long do I need to train?
10–15 minutes a day for 4–6 weeks. In that period most learners double or triple their reading speed without losing comprehension.
Does comprehension drop during speed reading?
In the first days, yes — that is normal. The brain needs time to switch from inner speech to visual processing. After 2–3 weeks comprehension returns to its previous level at a higher speed.
What age is the trainer suitable for?
From age 7–8, once a child reads confidently. Younger learners should start with Schulte tables and attention exercises.
